Welcome to the world, little ones! It’s been waiting for you!

Your decision to adopt a Lumar Labradoodle is exciting and we are looking forward to working with you to help you find the perfect puppy for YOUR unique family!

If you have any outstanding balance on your puppy, please bring cash to pickup. Thank you!
ASVAB
Please take 5 minutes to read the AVSAB position on early puppy socialization. It is very important!!
At this time we recommend you begin preparing to bring puppy home. The first step is to order your PawTree Puppy Starter Kit! PT is “All Live Stages” and will meet your puppy’s nutritional requirements. Your puppy will be eating PT when he or she comes to you and will have been exposed to several of the flavors of kibble. We like the salmon, duck, and turkey best! (If you are interested in learning more about the Grain-free foods controversy, read here.) You will find the essential nutrition and treat products that Lumar recommends to get your puppy off to a great start! https://shop.pawtree.com/lumar/myrecommendation/Products-Lumar-Loves
We have a list of other recommended supplies, such as shampoo, crate, and toys, under Puppy Care.
We especially recommend reading:
The Puppy Primer by McConnell
If you have children, the book “Raising Puppies & Kids Together: A Guide for Parents” by Silvani is a must-read as well!
This is an important time to look for a qualified TRAINER to help you being teaching your puppy. You will want to start Puppy Kindergarten GROUP classes as soon as you bring puppy home! We also highly recommend an online training program called Baxter & Bella. You can receive a substantial discount using our code “LUMAR25”! https://www.baxterandbella.com/

Crate: we always recommend purchasing a NEW (not used) crate because you don’t know where a used crate might have come from and whether it could be contaminated. We like the crate with a divider because when your puppy is small you can use the divider to keep his space small, which helps with potty training. When your pup is grown you can remove the divider and he has more space. We also like the crate with two doors, and we prefer a heavy-duty metal crate over plastic because it will last many years. The size we recommend for your litter is 42 inches.
Puppy Pickup
The pickup time for your puppy is Saturday, November 6, around 11am. If you are interested in our concierge delivery service, please ask for more information!

For this litter we are NOT able to offer extended stay. You must be able to pick up on your puppy on the 6th or have your puppy delivered by us. Pickup will be done socially distanced for the safety of everyone involved. We will assign your individual pick up time at a later date. We ask you to be prompt out of respect for the family coming in behind you!
Gender requests. We do not have gender differences in our breed the way some breeds do. Your puppy will be spayed or neutered and will become essentially “genderless” at that point anyway.
Puppy Matches: I know everyone is excited to learn which puppy will be yours, but please be patient with us. First, we need to have the 7 week vet visit to make sure all the puppies are healthy. Second, we like to wait as long as possible to give us more time to get to know the puppies’ personalities and temperaments. We usually make puppy matches just a few days before Go Home to ensure that we are thorough in our process. We will send your puppy match with a picture and a description of YOUR unique puppy at that time! Trust us–it’s worth waiting for!!
Blessings, Kristina & the Lumar Crew
