Your decision to adopt a Lumar Labradoodle is exciting and we are looking forward to working with you to help you find the perfect puppy for YOUR unique family!

Please remember that your final puppy payment of $1500 (which includes VA sales tax of $200) is due when the puppies are 5 weeks of age. Please plan ahead, as the mail is VERY SLOW due to Covid. Make your payment payable to Lumar Labradoodles and send to 2908 Greenwood Circle, Suffolk, VA 23435. Please put the name of the mama dog and your full name in the memo line.
At this time we recommend you begin preparing to bring puppy home. The first step is to order your PawTree Puppy Starter Kit! You will find the essential nutrition and treat products that Lumar recommends to get your puppy off to a great start! https://shop.pawtree.com/lumar/myrecommendation/Products-Lumar-Loves
We have a list of other recommended supplies, such as shampoo, crate, and toys, under Puppy Care. Your puppy is mini in size and will need a 30 or 36 inch crate at maturity. We recommend purchasing one with a divider to help make potty training easier.

Heartgard is important for heartworm prevention!

We especially recommend reading:
The Puppy Primer by McConnell
If you have children, the book “Raising Puppies & Kids Together: A Guide for Parents” by Silvani is a must-read as well!
This is an important time to look for a qualified TRAINER to help you being teaching your puppy. You will want to start Puppy Kindergarten GROUP classes as soon as you bring puppy home! We also highly recommend an online training program called Baxter & Bella. You can receive a substantial discount using our code “LUMAR25”! https://www.baxterandbella.com/
The pickup time for Maggie’s puppies is Thursday, January 14 between 4 and 6 pm. Marley’s puppy will go home a few days earlier on January 9 at 4pm. Pickup will be done socially distanced for the safety of everyone involved. We will assign your individual pick up time at a later date. We ask you to be prompt out of respect for the family coming in behind you!
Puppy Matches for Maggie’s litter: I know everyone is excited to learn which puppy will be yours, but please be patient with us. First, we need to have the 7 week vet visit to make sure all the puppies are healthy. Second, we like to wait as long as possible to give us more time to get to know the puppies’ personalities and temperaments. We usually make puppy matches just a few days before Go Home to ensure that we are thorough in our process. We will send your puppy match with a picture and a description of YOUR unique puppy at that time! Trust us–it’s worth waiting for!!
Blessings, Kristina & the Lumar Labradoodles
